I have some questions…
Will therapy be in-person or online?
I offer both in-person sessions at my office in Elm Grove and virtual sessions online via Telehealth (a HIPAA-compliant secure video call). I will ask your preference before we schedule anything, but we can always change the method of therapy session to session depending on what works best for you that day.
Do you take insurance?
No, I do not, but I do offer a sliding scale to make sure that therapy is affordable for any budget. I might accept insurance in the future, but right now not dealing with insurance allows me the freedom to focus more time and energy on working with my clients.
How much do therapy sessions cost?
My standard rate per session is $100, but I also have a sliding scale that allows me to tailor the cost of therapy to your actual budget. I believe that counseling should be affordable to everyone so feel free to let me know what you can actually afford and I will gladly accommodate to your financial situation.
How do I pay for sessions?
Clients are required to put a credit, debit, or HSA/FSA card on file and you can pay for sessions that way, otherwise, I also accept cash or check. Payment is collected after the session is over so if you ever need special accommodations (i.e. waiting to charge the card until payday), we can discuss it during your session.
How long are therapy sessions?
Sessions are 60 minutes long. I set up my schedule so there is always 30 minutes between you and the next client coming in, so even if we meet in-person there isn’t that awkward moment of running into other therapy clients in a waiting room or feeling the pressure to wrap things up right at the hour mark.
How often will we meet for sessions?
This depends on your own preferences, how intensive your care needs are, and what works for both of our schedules. Typically clients start either weekly or every other week and over time we will start to reduce the frequency of your visits once we both feel comfortable doing so.
Do you offer free consultations?
Yes! I offer free 30-minute consultations either in-person or online via Telehealth, depending on your preference. That way you have an opportunity to meet me and get a feel for my personality before committing to therapy with me. It also gives you the chance to ask me any questions you might have.
What if I have a question that isn’t answered here?
